After working with individuals and families impacted by substance abuse early on in my studies, I developed a passion for working with trauma. This passion led me to further training and a career as a Therapist.

Since completing my Masters in Counselling I have worked at specializing my skills and knowledge of therapeutic interventions designed to support those who have experienced or are at risk of  trauma. This has had a strong focus on attachment and complex childhood trauma.

I am particularly passionate about working with children and young people, utilizing a number creative therapies and interventions such as play, art and sand tray.

I am also an animal lover and a strong believer of the power animals can have in the trauma healing journey, and have recently expanded my therapeutic interventions to include Animal Assisted Therapy with my Golden Retriever, Pirate.
