The Folded Heart Perspective

The paper heart is both beautifully fragile and strong; its folds and creases tell a story of triumph, struggle, mistakes, of hooray moments, and promises of a destination. The human heart, like the folded heart, is one of a kind and unique to its creator, entitled to being seen and heard, susceptible to what happens to and around it. The heart can be open, but it can also close in for protection, it can be opened and closed many times, some lines different as new experiences change us, some creases worn thinner with a repeat of a similar fold. Similar to how the sea skims the shore rocks a million times, its landscape changes, but its beauty does not diminish, it transforms, a simple square of paper can always become a heart.

Folded Heart Studio was named as such to honour the story of your heart and facilitate choice and transformation. The paper origami heart symbolises the creative nature of the support and counselling that we offer and the commitment to offering structure and guidance along the way.
It is seen as a small leaf amongst an ever growing and transforming plant, in an imperfectly perfect jar. Studio by definition is a place to learn, experiment and follow one’s creative endeavors in life; this studio is both a physical and online room grounded in a kind and accepting therapeutic alliance between you and me. Welcome.
